Polyester Thobe Fabric Price per Meter: 2026 Mill Rates

Polyester Thobe Fabric Price: USD 0.76 to 1.42 per Meter

Our 100 percent polyester thobe fabric is quoted at USD 0.76 per metre for a 110 GSM plain weave at 500 metres per colour, rising to USD 1.42 for a 135 GSM fine-count quality with a Schreiner finish, against a market band of roughly 0.88 to 1.54 for comparable Saudi and Emirati qualities.

The figure depends on four things: weight, yarn count, finish and volume. Everything below is what we actually quote.

What Moves the Price

Variable Range that matters Effect on price
GSM 110 to 145 GSM +USD 0.08 to 0.22 per 10 GSM
Yarn count 45s to 60s spun +USD 0.10 to 0.26 for finer counts
Finish Matte, Schreiner, glazed +USD 0.02 to 0.18
Volume 500 m to 30,000 m -USD 0.06 to 0.14
Colour Stock white vs custom dye +USD 0.05 to 0.12 plus 8 to 12 days

Weight is the first lever and the honest one. A 110 GSM cloth is a summer thobe; a 145 GSM cloth is a heavier robe for cooler months or for a buyer who wants more body. Between them sits 118 to 125 GSM, where most Saudi daily-wear programmes land.

Yarn count is the lever buyers underestimate. Moving from 45s to 60s gives a smoother face and a better drape, but it also means more ends and picks to keep the cloth opaque, so the weaving cost rises faster than the yarn cost.

Finish is the cheapest visible upgrade. A soft Schreiner pass costs a few cents and changes how the cloth reads on a shelf. We price it as its own line so you can see what the sheen costs.

A 500 metre trial is deliberately small enough to be a real order rather than a favour. It covers about ten dozen thobes, which is enough for a wholesaler to test sell-through in one city before committing to a container.

What the Price Includes — and What It Does Not

Every quotation includes a fibre composition statement, a shade and dye lot record, a four-point inspection report at 20 points per 100 square yards, and a rolled, poly-wrapped packing with buyer labels. Test reports in SASO format for Saudi clearance are included on request at no charge.

It does not include freight, insurance, destination charges or the SABER certificate fee itself, which the importer pays on the platform. It also does not include testing beyond the standard set; if you need a specific ISO method run by a third-party laboratory, we quote it separately at cost.

Samples: Free Swatches, Buyer Pays Courier

A4 swatches and a shade card are free; the buyer covers the courier, which we credit against the first order. For a programme above 2,500 metres we send a three-metre cut so your tailor can sew one full thobe and check the drape, the collar seam and how the cloth presses.

Swatches leave within three working days, and we will cut the same construction in two finishes so the choice between matte and soft sheen is made on cloth rather than on a screen.

Order the Lot Without a Surprise

Step What happens Time
1. Select Confirm GSM, width, colour count and finish 1-2 days
2. Sample Swatches or three-metre cut dispatched 3-5 days to Gulf
3. Approve Lab dip and finish signed off in writing 5-10 days
4. Produce Weaving, dyeing, finishing, four-point inspection 7-25 days
5. Ship Booking, documents, B/L, certificate of conformity 3-5 days

Buyers who fix the GSM and finish at step one avoid the most expensive delay in the chain, which is a second lab dip after the first bulk metre is already woven.

Get the Price for Your Specification

Send the GSM, the width, the colour count and the country of sale, and we will return a price, a lead time and a finish recommendation within one working day. If you already have a target price, tell us that too — there is usually a construction that reaches it without dropping the yarn count below what a daily-wear thobe needs.

Use the RFQ form or message us on WhatsApp from the same page, and ask for the swatch pack if you would rather handle the cloth first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of polyester thobe fabric per meter in 2026?

From our mill, 100 percent spun polyester thobe fabric starts at USD 0.76 per metre for a 110 GSM plain weave at 500 metres per colour, and runs to USD 1.42 for a 135 GSM fine-count quality with a Schreiner finish at the same volume. The wider market band for comparable Saudi and Emirati qualities is roughly USD 0.88 to 1.54 per metre, so the low end of that band is where a direct factory price sits. Volume, GSM, yarn count and finish each move the figure, and we quote all four as separate lines so the buyer can see what the sheen or the extra 15 GSM actually costs.

What is the minimum order for polyester thobe fabric?

Stock shades in a running quality start at 500 metres per colour, which is about ten thobes short of a 50-metre roll pattern and covers a wholesale trial properly. Custom-dyed shades start at 2,500 metres per colour, and a new construction built to your own yarn count, density and width starts at 5,000 metres. The jump from stock to custom dye is what adds time rather than risk, because a lab dip has to be approved and the dye lot has to be scheduled, so we usually suggest starting with stock white and a stock cream before committing to a colour programme.

What payment terms do you accept?

We work on 30 percent deposit by T/T with the balance against the bill of lading copy, or a full irrevocable letter of credit at sight for orders above USD 30,000. For repeat buyers with a settled history we can discuss 20 days from bill of lading, and for Saudi importers paying through SABER we issue the commercial invoice and certificate of conformity in the format the platform expects. We do not ask for full payment in advance on a first order, because a buyer who has not seen the cloth should not be funding the whole lot. Every term is written into the proforma invoice before production starts.

How long does production and shipping take?

Stock white and stock cream ship in 7 to 12 days from deposit. A custom-dyed shade in an existing construction takes 18 to 25 days, and a new construction with a new yarn count takes 35 to 50 days including sampling and approval. Add 18 to 24 days by sea to Jeddah or Dammam, 12 to 16 days to Jebel Ali, and three to five days by air for a sample or a short urgent lot. In the two months before Ramadan, mill capacity tightens across Keqiao, so we ask buyers to book peak-season volume six to eight weeks ahead of the ship date rather than the order date.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Yes. A4 swatches and a shade card are free, and the buyer pays the courier only, which we credit back against the first order. For a serious programme we will send a three-metre cut so your tailor can sew a full thobe and test the drape, the pressing behaviour and the seam at the collar, because a hand-sized swatch cannot answer those questions. Swatches leave within three working days, and we will include the same construction in two finishes so the buyer can compare a matte and a soft-sheen surface side by side before fixing the specification.
